If you are a beginner fiction writer or an expert, you are welcome here. Any kind of fiction, even poorly written ones are welcome! We will support the emotion and effort behind the attempt, and offer feedback if you want it! We will discuss the issues . . .
If you are a beginner fiction writer or an expert, you are welcome here. Any kind of fiction, even poorly written ones are welcome! We will support the emotion and effort behind the attempt, and offer feedback if you want it! We will discuss the issues you address and have a good time together as friends. Just let us know if you are sharing for fun or if you want constructive feedback! Come on in!
We only have two rules. The first is your entries to the group must be fiction (or appear to be - some true stories can be entered - but not poetry or commentaries). Non-fiction works will be removed from the group with a message sent privately about why it is being removed. You may submit articles about yourself as a writer, but tread carefully. We want the focus of this group to be fiction. If you have work removed more than twice (on separate occasions) for not meeting the guidelines, you will be banned from the group. The second rule is regarding constructive feedback - some want it, some do not. We want it to be made very clear on every post to the group what type of feedback you are looking for, either at the bottom of your entry or in a comment below. EXAMPLES: I am looking for emotional support only. Tell me how this makes you feel and why you like or dislike it. I am looking for constructive feedback because I want to publish this. I would like very detailed responses if possible. Please send these responses via private message only. I am looking for constructive feedback because I want to become a better writer. I would like information on how to make this better, what you like and dislike, etc . . . . Please send these responses via private message or in a comment below. If there is no instructions given it will be assumed that only general comments are desired - such as well done, nice job, powerful, good attempt, I liked this a lot, beautiful, funny . . . For more info on this topic - go to http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474976740202 If you have a question about something being appropriate or not, feel free to private message a member of management.
